Finalizada la prorroga de permisos de residencia caducados durante el Estado de Alarma

Este lunes 21 de diciembre ha finalizado la prorroga otorgada por el Gobierno de España para aquellas Autorizaciones de Residencia cuya validez caducaba durante el Estado de Alarma, por tanto, si aún no has renovado tu permiso de residencia es hora de ponerse en ello.

I. ¿Qué permisos de residencia habían sido prorrogadas?

En primer lugar, recordamos que el Estado de Alarma se va a declara el día 14 de marzo de 2020 y va a finalizar a las 00:00 del día 21 de junio de 2020. Teniendo lo anterior en cuenta, los permisos de residencia prorrogados sería aquellos que hubiesen caducado:

a) Dentro de los 90 días previos a la declaración del Estado de Alarma;

b) Todas aquellos permisos que hayan caducado dentro del período del Estado de Alarma.

Así fue recogido en la Orden SND/421/2020, de 18 de mayo, por la que se adoptan medidas relativas a la prórroga de las autorizaciones de estancia y residencia y/o trabajo y a otras situaciones de los extranjeros en España, en aplicación del Real Decreto 463/2020, de 15 de marzo, por el que se declara el estado de alarma para la gestión de la situación de crisis sanitaria ocasionada por el COVID-19.

II. ¿Cuándo he de renovar mi permiso prorrogado?

La renovación de las autorizaciones de residencia y/o trabajo así como las estancias de estudios se han podido renovar en cualquier momento durante los meses desde que habrían sido los mismos prorrogados, es decir, desde el 21 de junio hasta el 21 de diciembre. Inclusive, a través de de medios electrónicos se hubiesen podido renovar los mismos durante la vigencia del Estado de Alarma.

Ahora bien, una vez finalizada la prorroga, las autorizaciones de residencia y las estancias se podrán renovar dentro de los noventa días naturales posteriores a la vigencia de los mismos, sin perjuicio de la sanción que corresponda al retraso. Por tanto, si aún no has renovado tu autorización de residencia y/o trabajo o tu estancia por estudio, te recomendamos realizar la renovación cuanto antes.

III. ¿Cómo hacer la renovación?
