What is the extraordinary regularization?
La extraordinary regularization 2026 is an administrative process approved by the Government of Spain that allows foreign nationals who were already living in the country before December 31, 2025 to apply for legal residency and a work permit through an exceptional procedure that will be open from April through June 30, 2026.
Who can benefit?
You may qualify if:
- You were in Spain before 12/31/2025 (cutoff date) and you can demonstrate a minimum continuous stay of 5 months in the country.
- If you applied for la international protection before 12/31/2025.
- You have no criminal record nor do you pose a risk to public order.
- This also includes minors in your care in Spain, who can regularize simultaneously.
